In order to assess the wheelchair accessibility of tourist attractions (such as chateaux, museums and castles), the “Methodology for Assessing the Wheelchair Accessibility of Buildings” was partially applied; however, the methodology itself does not address the accessibility of tourist attractions. Therefore, three-level assessment system for buildings was applied and adjusted based on individual criteria and on-site findings:

• green – completely accessible (the courtyard, the interior and restrooms, etc.)
• yellow – partially accessible (the courtyard is accessible, the interior is partially accessible, the restroom is accessible with assistance)
• red – inaccessible (more information concerning accessibility is provided in the database under the attraction)
